Theft of Thermal Electrical Generator - File 2008-12275

On the 25th of October 2008, Fort St. John RCMP received the report of a theft of a Thermal Electrical Generator from a well site approximately 30 km down the Mile 98 Road.  The theft occurred after 4:30PM on the 24th until that morning.  The suspect (s) were knowledgeable about the equipment and its set up as they were able to bypass a number of security measures put in place to notify anyone about a possibly malfunction with the equipment.

The item taken is powered by the gas produced at a well site and is not suitable for use by a household or agricultural operation.  The generator is marked with the Penn West logo and has a value of approximately $10,000.00.
