Drive By Shooting Outside of Cheers Pub
Fort St. John RCMP are seeking the public's assistance in obtaining further information in relation to a
shooting that occurred on July 21, 2010 around 2340 hours outside of Cheers Pub in Fort St. John, BC.
As a result of the shooting, a 34 year old male suffered a non-life threatening injuries. The male was
taken to the Fort St. John Hospital were he was treated for his injuries. Police believe that this was a
targeted attack and that the unknown offender(s) drove by the parking lot as they shot at the suspect.
Witnesses described the vehicle as a dark coloured car. No further description was provided to Police.
Fort St. John RCMP believe that some vehicles, including a newer orange Dodge pickup truck, were
parked at the location when the shooting occurred and may have inadvertently suffered damage as a
result. Police are looking to speak with the owners of any vehicles that may have been parked on the
highway side of Cheers Pub or the Northwoods Hotel last night between the time of 2300 hours and
midnight.
Police believe that this was a targeted shooting and members of the Serious Crime Unit are continuing
to investigate. No arrests have been made in relation to this investigation.
